Thursday's Ticker

Well Paris is out of jail. How exciting. Did you all watch her on Larry King Live last night? Shame on you ;) You know she was counting on all of us watching!!! It is a great ratings grab. Maybe now she will turn over a new leaf like she said she would. Then again, most people probably hope not. I think the reason most people are so caught up in all of this reality/celebrity idiocy is because it makes them look great by comparison. It is easier to critique someone elses life than to deal with our own. For instance, if I said today, that for the rest of the week on my blog I will start revealing the things behind my mask, viewership would go up. Could go as high as ten hits on the counter :)
We are a curious bunch by nature. We want to know stuff about the people we know and even those we don't know.

yes, it's interesting how we are interested in other people's dirt/stuff. it's equally interesting that true freedom, freedom in Christ, only comes when we ourselves become transparent and are willing to expose our dirt, stuff...the core of our very hearts to the Lord and to others. We can be certain of the Lord's response to us: forgiveness, acceptance, healing and love. So what keeps us from the right of freedom? i think it's the judgement and rejection of others (yes, "Christian others") we fear. So what will we do, live in the fear of others and let them over rule our Lord and ruin our relationship with God, or be real, genuine, authentic even in our darkest sinfullness before God and others and truely be free, be His children, the children we were created to be. frankly, i'm still working on it, but i am moving toward All For Jesus and the heck what anyone else thinks. i suspect once a few move in this direction that it may become contageous. we may get a glimpse of the bride of Christ.
God's Blessings

It seems there are many reasons that keep us from being transparent... fear, rejection, judgment and others come to mind, hence the mask. If I can't even be transparent with God (who already knows) I sure can't be with people ;).

Was great seeing you yesterday Deb. Have a great summer.
